Apple Music subscription costs have risen by 20% for students in India and other countries.
Apple recently raised the price of Apple Music student subscriptions in several countries, including India. College students are receiving emails about the hike. The email says, "Thank you for subscribing to Apple Music. We wanted to let you know about an upcoming change to this subscription. Apple is raising the price of this subscription from USD 1.49 per month to USD 1.99 per month." Apple's official website has updated the student subscription rates. The change is not only occurring in India but also in other markets. Countries like Australia, Indonesia, Israel, Kenya, Malaysia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, and the Philippines are involved in this subscription change.
The subscription prices are now Rs 59 per month on the official website and Apple Music app, representing a 20% rise in price. Previously, students paid Rs 49 per month for the music streaming portal. It's still Rs 99 per month for regular customers. Apple continues to offer the student plan at a discount over the ordinary customized plan. For Rs 149 per month, Apple Music Family allows up to six people to access the service. Furthermore, Apple Music Voice is available for Rs 49 per month.
