By December 2023, Jio will launch nationwide 5G service.

During its Annual General Meeting, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) reaffirmed the launch date for 5G. Kiran Thomas, president of Reliance Industries Limited and a director on the board of Reliance Jio, emphasized at the 45th Annual General Meeting that Jio True 5G offers the three advantages of Stand-Alone 5G architecture, the broadest spectrum, and superior Carrier Aggregation technology. Together with Google, it intends to introduce more reasonably priced 5G phones to the market. The corporation clarified that 5G would be accessible in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai in October of this year. Jio also said that 5G will roll out nationwide by December 2023.

With the help of innovative digital experiences and Smart Home technologies, 5G will connect 100 million homes. Jio 5G will be the world's largest and most advanced 5G network. Only Jio possesses the 700 MHz low-band spectrum, which is necessary for deep inside coverage, in addition to the 3500 MHz mid-band, globally designed for 5G, and the 26 GHz millimeter-wave band for ultra-high capacity. Using cutting-edge technology known as carrier aggregation, they can smoothly integrate different frequencies into a single robust "data highway." Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries Limited, claimed to have committed more than Rs 2 lakh crore to the deployment of 5G.
