
Crunchyroll reduces the subscription plan for Indian Otakus.
Crunchyroll has announced a reduction in its plan for Indian anime viewers. The announcement was made, seeing the big craze for anime among Indian viewers. Crunchyroll has a library of around 5500 anime episodes with 1000 hours in English dub. It has recently dubbed two anime in Hindi, My Dress Up Darling and Ranking of Kings, with more coming on the way.
Crunchyroll has expanded its plan to 100 countries, and India is among them. It will offer plans of Rs. 79 for ordinary fan membership and Rs.99 for Mega fan membership(4 screens). It can stream both Hindi and English anime. The mega fan costs Rs. 999/year.
Regarding Crunchyroll’s updated subscription strategy and aspirations to this time effectively approach the Indian market, its president, Rahul Purini, said the following: “There is a massive appetite for anime in India with a growing number of fans who are craving more of what they love. Our team has worked hard to expand our service — including more content and more dubs, at a more affordable price.”
