Swiggy' Supr daily halts its services in 5 cities.

Swiggy, an online food ordering, and delivery service in India will suspend "Supr daily," subscription-based delivery service in five cities. Supr Daily will suspend operations in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai. Due to a rise in demand, Swiggy also discontinued its pick-and-drop service "Genie" in various cities, resulting in a scarcity of delivery partners.

Founded in 2015 by IIT graduates - Shreyas Nagdawane and Puneet Kumar, Super Daily merged with Swiggy in 2018 for expansion and acceleration of the company's growth. The company now sees it as unprofitable. The CEO of Supr daily -Kishan Phani, cites that the time spent on managing the business is unprofitable. It has diverted them from their primary goals of establishing the business's market fit.

Supr Daily stated, "We will continue to serve our customers in Bangalore without interruption ." The company further said that they will suspend their services from 10th May 2022 and will only service existing subscriptions of certain milk items till 12th May 2022.

The company will initiate the refund of users' wallet balance and remaining days of Supr access memberships (if applicable) by 12th May; it should reflect in the source of payment in 5 to 7 business days," it further said.
